UTILIZATION OF EGGSHELL AND ORANGE PEEL WASTE
With the acquisition of the 8 Field Student Creativity Program Funding Grant in 2023 from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Directorate General of Education, Research & Technology in 2023, specifically the Student Creativity Program for Entrepreneurship or abbreviated as PKM-K through the Directorate of Student Affairs as well as the Head of PKM from UNIKOM named Mr. Andrias Darmayadi S.IP., M.Si., PhD assisted by the Chief Reviewer named Mrs. Supriyati SE, M.Si, Ak, CA, ASEAN, CPA, C.PI, CIAP, the PKM-K was chaired by Risa Rismawati from the Accounting Study Program, with other members namely: Retno Fujiani from Accounting Study Program, Salsabila Azzahra from Accounting Study Program, Isma Oktavianti from Accounting Study Program, and Yudha Putra Pratama from English Literature Study Program, with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ely Suhayati, SE, M.Si, Ak, CA, CFA. The title of the PKM-K carried by the Team: UTILIZATION OF EGG SKIN AND ORANGE SKIN WASTE TO REDUCE CHOLESTEROL AND INCREASE CHILDREN’S APPETITE with the product results in the form of a drink called “DULUR” to lower cholesterol for adults and increase appetite for children and prevent stanting, which has benefits for the wider community, the product results have been tested by the Lab and can be sold by the Team as one of the Outputs of the Program.
The Entrepreneurship Student Creativity Program is one part of the Student Creativity Program carried out by the Ministry of Education and Culture through the Directorate General of Higher Education which is a forum for students to pour their creative and innovative ideas into a product of goods / services that can benefit the wider community, especially the people of Indonesia. With many concerns about the increasing cholesterol rate and the number of stunted children in Indonesia, the team innovated to make DULUR beverage products made from egg shell waste and orange peels that the team got from food and beverage selling partners around the UNIKOM campus. This program was held at Universitas Komputer Indonesia from June 15th to November 15th, 2023, the team also had the opportunity to socialize the program to the community on November 10th, 2023 which was held at the Balai Serbaguna RT.03 / RW. 01, Kel. Lebak Gede, Coblong, Kota. The Tim hopes that the presence of DULUR products can have a positive impact on the progress of Indonesian Public Health and bring many benefits besides the Student Creativity Program – Entrepreneurship makes students produce creative ideas and gain entrepreneurial experience early on.
